Event Description:

Attention all small business owners! Get ready for an exciting Coffee & Convos that will supercharge your marketing strategies, "GRCA Marketing Perks." As a valued member of GRCA, you want to make sure you're maximizing every opportunity that comes with your membership. To help you do that, we have lined up our award-winning duo: Leah Fassnacht, GRCA's Director of Communications & Marketing, and Audrey Krupiak, GRCA's Assistant Director of Communications & Marketing. They will present all the marketing benefits you might be missing out on. Have you ever wondered how to submit a Gold Star item or an upcoming event? Or, how to create compelling content to be featured in Commerce Quarterly magazine? Maybe you want us to amplify your voice on social media, but are unsure where to start? If any of these questions gave you pause, this session is for you.

Have more general marketing questions? Fassnacht and Krupiak will leave time at the end of the session to nerd out on all things marketing.

Meet our Marketing Unicorns:
Why do we call them the Marketing Unicorns? Well, because they can do it all—from writing and editing to graphic design and social media—and that's just magical in the marketing world. Together, they have nearly 25 years of marketing and communications experience and have won multiple awards as a team. In 2021, they took home multiple awards for their "Rebuild Berks" campaign—ACCE Award for Communications Excellence for Best Marketing Campaign and the Marketing Innovation Award given by the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association. Also in 2021, Fassnacht and Krupiak won the Bountiful Berks Agriculture Communications Award for its "Grow Together" marketing campaign. The following year, the duo gained another ACCE Award for Communications Excellence for Website Redesign.

Prior to joining GRCA, Fassnacht helped lead marketing and communication efforts in a wide variety of industries, from newspapers to rugged electronics to medical cannabis. Before that, she spent nine years in the Reading Eagle newsroom as a graphic designer, where she took home multiple Keystone Media Awards for page design.

Prior to joining GRCA, Krupiak lead the marketing and communication efforts for a regional family-owned bottled water company. She previously held roles in the marketing departments at Alvernia University and Berks Economic Partnership, which has since become a part of GRCA.
