Emergency Planning
This workshop will review the importance of emergency planning, with a focus on the SARA program and Tier II reporting process. Participants will explore key principals such as roles and responsibilities, awareness of potential risks, and enhanced communication strategies.

Megan has been an Emergency Planner in the Berks County Department of Emergency Services for the past 8 years, serving as a 911 Dispatcher for 3 years prior to this role. She holds an Associate?s Degree in Emergency Management and specializes in emergency planning for chemical facilities, high-hazard dams, schools, daycares, and congregate care facilities. Megan is also a Hazardous Materials Technician with the Berks County Special Operations Group. In addition to these roles, Meg serves as a volunteer Firefighter/EMT with the Fleetwood Fire Company, a member of the Fleetwood Recreation Board, a member of the Eastern PA EMS Council Critical Incident Stress Management Team, a volunteer at Char-Wills German Shepherd Rescue, and she is also a Mom (her favorite role). Megan is a lifelong native of Berks County and has responded to numerous disasters and incidents across Berks County in several capacities over the past 16 years.
