While the Reading Roots Market has existed for several years, the 2026 season marks an exciting new chapter. GoggleWorks Center for the Arts has expanded upon the former Penn Street Market by relocating the market to its campus to help sustain and grow the initiative while increasing offerings to the community. Reading Roots Market focuses on expanding access to fresh food, supporting downtown revitalization, and fostering community engagement in Reading. The kick-off celebration will also feature family-friendly activities, including mini Highland cows and a visiting textile artist from Mexico, Avelina Martinez Garcia.
