Bethany Children’s Home to Break Ground on New Basketball Court

WOMELSDORF, PA — Bethany Children’s Home will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for a new outdoor basketball court on Tuesday, March 25 at 3 p.m. on its Womelsdorf campus.
The new court will provide youth living at Bethany with an updated space for physical activity and positive social interaction. It also will serve as a therapeutic outlet, giving youth a constructive way to relieve stress and build confidence.
“This project will create an important space for youth at Bethany to stay active, connect with one another, and experience the many emotional and physical benefits of sports,” said Dana Hoffman, Director of Development. “We are grateful to the donors and supporters whose generosity helped make this new court possible.”
The court’s construction is the first of two phases of Bethany’s outdoor recreation upgrades.
